Finding that Perfect Retro Disco Outfit

Disco is one of the most popular themes for parties all over the world. Whether you live in Europe, America, or Asia, you have probably been invited to at least one disco-themed occasion; be it a school event, corporate party, birthday, Halloween get-together, or any other celebration. For this reason, it is important to know how to dress properly during these times.

For teenagers or young adults with parents who were born during the 1960s, they should be able to find trunks of vintage clothing in their basements or attics. Otherwise, they can look for disco clothing at other sources.

If there are thrift shops near you, then you can raid them all to find the most stylish-looking 70s costumes, otherwise known as retro fashions. You can find them at secondhand shops or even at garage sales in your neighbourhood. If you are a female, you can get shining, shimmering dresses for a start. Knee-high boots or go-go boots were the fad during those times, so look for a pair as well while you are searching through the items in a vintage shop. Find oversized hoop earrings and other chunky jewellery items like rings, bead necklaces, bangles, and the like to go with your outfit.

On the other hand, if you are not too comfortable with wearing skimpy clothing, then you can go for bell-bottom jeans. They are jeans that fit perfectly on the hips and thighs, but their bottoms are as wide as you can imagine. Choose a button-down shirt with a retro appeal like plaid or flower patterns all over it. You can still wear the jewelleries and the boots. To top it all up, you can add a scarf, oversized sunglasses, and a bright coloured wig to complete your groovy 70s look.
